Riverside Ward Town Councillor James Wilkie has resigned from Neston Town Council as he shortly plans to move out of the area.
Mr Wilkie joined the Council in 2013, he was heavily involved in the production of the Neighbourhood Plan for Neston and was a member of the Community Steering Group. He was also very involved in the production of the Neston Economic Development Plan.
Council Chairman and Town Mayor Mike Shipman said he had accepted James Wilkie’s resignation with genuine regret. “James has been a tremendous asset to the Council, having first become involved when he volunteered to assist with the development of the Neston Neighbourhood Plan. I and colleagues thank him for all he has done and wish him and his wife well for the future.”
The vacancy will be filled by election if one is called by at least 10 residents of Riverside Ward by 14th March, or by co-option at a future Council meeting if none is called. Anyone wishing to fill the vacancy should contact the Council Manager, Town Hall, High Street, Neston, CH64 9RT, or 0151 336 3840 or email@example.com
