NESTON TOWN COUNCIL SUPPORTING THE COMMUNITY
RAF AIR CADETS, 2375 (NESTON) SQUADRON
A grant of £1,418 was provided to the Neston Air Cadets towards the cost of building a Single Engine Plane flight simulator. It will be used to teach basic controls, instruments, airmanship and Radio Procedures to cadets so that they have a better understanding of their theory lessons and to maximise the training value when they go air-experience flying.

TRAIN TO CHANGE

WIRRAL COMMUNITY NARROWBOAT TRUST
Grant of £1,825 in support of Wirral Community Narrowboat Trust’s 2017 programme of cruises for elderly Neston people.
NESTON’S LIFT UP 2 WORK PROGRAMME
Neston Town Council provided a grant of £3,000 to a not-for-profit company called Train to Change. Train to Change is based in Ellesmere Port and provides vocational training to unemployed, socially excluded and economically disadvantaged clients. This grant has enabled Neston residents to access the service by offering them the fork lift truck driving qualifications needed to gain employment in the warehousing and distribution sector.

Mike Jones, the Manager of Train to Change, said “we are excited to work closely with Neston Town Council and to be helping Neston residents to get into full time employment in the warehousing and distribution sector”.
HINDERTON GUIDES VISIT TO COPENHAGEN
Hinderton Guides visited Copenhagen during the summer. Neston Town Council was pleased to be able to support this adventure.
