Amber Alert Level

Medium risk.  The trap in Little Neston, about 2 km from the marsh, had an increased number of mosquitoes on June 23 which suggests that small numbers of mosquitoes will occur over the Neston area. However,  the dry, hot weather has dried many pools and killed developing stages so there are few new mosquitoes emerging. High tides towards the end of June may result in a new hatch of eggs but adults will not be produced until at least mid-July.
